T-Mobile Iconography

At the start of my time with T-Mobile, I joined a design group led by the Senior Creative Manager to develop a scalable icon system for use across the company’s website.

The icons were built using a consistent set of rules and a structured grid, with a central accent to maintain visual consistency and align with the brand.

Each icon went through multiple rounds of refinement to ensure clarity and legibility at smaller sizes (under 192px). Variations were also created for different contexts, including white, black, brand backgrounds, and Metro brand color applications.

Building on the style established by the Senior Creative Manager’s icon system, I worked on updates that included increasing the size from 192x192px to 300x300px, maintaining the magenta accent, and introducing a gray element to add depth and a more illustrative style.

These icons were applied across projects to visually support copy and clearly represent sections on T-Mobile’s website, the TMO app, and the Metro website, ensuring consistency and clarity across all digital touchpoints.

I also collaborated with the social team to design a set of icons for T-Mobile’s Instagram Stories. Building on the style of the larger icon system with minor adjustments, this set went through several rounds of refinement and is now actively in use.
